Aargauer Kunsthaus (Aargau Art Gallery) – Swiss art from the 18th century

The Aargauer Kunsthaus art gallery has one of the most beautiful and comprehensive public collections of Swiss art from the 18th century to the present day. Each year, the Kunsthaus runs around six temporary exhibitions which are mainly dedicated to the contemporary artistic work in Switzerland and abroad. Before or after visiting the museum, visitors can meet up in the café in the pleasant bright foyer. The building was extended in 2003 by the Swiss architectural firm, Herzog & de Meuron.
