Bally Shoe Museum, Schönenwerd

The Bally Shoe Museum in Schönenwerd houses one of the world’s largest collections dedicated to the subject of shoes. It documents the social and cultural-historical background of footwear from ancient times to the present day, and focuses on its design throughout a range of periods and cultures. The development of the trade and of the shoemakers’ guilds also plays a major role in the exhibition.
