«Rüeblimärt»

Aargau is the carrot canton. Proof of this is provided by the Aarau "Rüeblimärt" (carrot market), which takes place annually on the first Wednesday in November and attracts over 30,000 visitors. As the name suggests, the carrot takes centre stage in all its forms and variations at this special market. You will find delicious cakes, bread, preserves and many other products made from carrots. Not only a culinary treat, but thanks to over 140 lovingly decorated stalls, also a real feast for the eye.
